Flexible working

Do you work outside the traditional 9 to 5? Do your hours and working days change frequently? Then flexible train tickets may revolutionise the way you get from A to B. Why not help us to shape the future of flexible travel?

Flexible travel is the future

We understand that modern working life can be hugely varied. You may work different hours, different days and in different locations each week. Certain train ticket types may not suit you and the way you travel. That’s why we’re developing a more flexible future – and we’d love you to get involved.

So, I can impact future flexible travel options?

Yes, you can. By joining the Thameslink Passenger Panel today, you can share your thoughts and opinions on flexible travel options. This will help us to create a range of flexible train tickets and fares that will best suit your travel needs.

Not only will you impact the future of train travel, you will also be able to share hints and tips with other travellers to help streamline your current journeys.

Are there any flexible train tickets available now?

Yes, there are. We offer Carnet booklets which contain between five and ten single journey tickets, giving you a 10% discount. Not only do they reduce the cost of your journeys, they also offer greater flexibility. You can travel when you want, and they are valid for up to three months.

How do I find out more about flexible working?

If you think flexible working would be a good option for you, you can read more about your rights on the government website here: www.gov.uk/flexible-working/overview
