No Thameslink trains can stop at Earlswood or Salfords on Sunday 29 March

Routes affected:
Between Bedford and Brighton, and between Peterborough and Horsham

Engineering work is taking place between Redhill and Gatwick Airport, closing some lines.

Thameslink trains will continue to run, but cannot stop at Earlswood or Salfords stations on the lines that remain open.

Customers travelling to or from Earlswood and Salfords should use replacement buses that will run between Redhill and Horley.

Amended train service to / from London Kings Cross on Sunday 29 March

Grand Central between London Kings Cross and Bradford Interchange / Sunderland Great Northern between London Kings Cross and Peterborough / Cambridge / Cambridge North / Kings Lynn Hull Trains between London Kings Cross and Hull LNER between London Kings Cross and Leeds / York / Newcastle / Edinburgh / Glasgow Central / Aberdeen / Inverness Thameslink between London Kings Cross and Peterborough / Cambridge

Engineering work is taking place between London Kings Cross and Stevenage on Sunday, closing some lines.

Grand Central:

A reduced train service will be in operation, with trains being diverted to run via Hertford North, extending journey times by up to 20 minutes.

The following trains will not run:

  • 12:12 Sunderland to London Kings Cross
  • 15:08 Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross
  • 16:53 London Kings Cross to Sunderland
  • 18:53 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange

Hull Trains:

Train services will be diverted to run via Hertford North, slightly extending journey times. Services will be retimed to run earlier or later than usual, and will run to amended timetables.

Great Northern:

Until 08:45 - Trains will not run between Finsbury Park and London Kings Cross. If you are travelling between these stations you should use London Underground services to complete your journey.

All day - Buses will replace trains between Stevenage and Hertford North / Welwyn Garden City and Alexandra Palace.

Trains between Cambridge / Kings Lynn / Peterborough and London will be diverted via Hertford North, not calling at stations between Stevenage and Alexandra Palace via Welwyn Garden City.

LNER:

Trains will run an amended timetable, with fewer trains than usual running to / from London Kings Cross. Trains that do run will be diverted to run via Hertford North, extending journey times by up to 20 minutes. Other trains will be cancelled or will start / terminate outside London Kings Cross.

Thameslink:

Until 08:45 - Trains will not run between Finsbury Park and London Kings Cross, if you are travelling between these stations you should use London Underground services to complete your journey.

All day - Buses will replace trains between Stevenage / Welwyn Garden City and Alexandra Palace and also between Stevenage and Hertford North.

Trains between Peterborough and London will be diverted via Hertford North, extending the overall journey time.

Trains  between Cambridge and London will be amended to run between Cambridge and Stevenage only.

Buses replace trains between Lewisham and Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal before 09:30 on Sunday 29 March

Southeastern between London Cannon Street and Slade Green and also between London Cannon Street "rounder" services via Woolwich Thameslink between London Bridge and Gillingham / Rainham

Engineering work is taking place between Deptford and Charlton, closing all lines before 09:00.

Southeastern:

Until around 09:30, buses will replace trains between Lewisham and Dartford via Woolwich.

London Charing Cross to Dartford via Woolwich services will be diverted to run via Bexleyheath instead.

London Cannon Street to London Cannon Street via Greenwich and Sidcup services will run between London Cannon Street and Slade Green via Sidcup.

Ticket acceptance:

Valid tickets can be used on Docklands Light Railway services between Greenwich and Lewisham before 09:00.

Thameslink:

Before 09:00, Thameslink services will be diverted via Bexleyheath instead of Woolwich Arsenal, and will call additionally at Lewisham, Blackheath, Eltham, Bexleyheath and Barnehurst. Customers travelling to / from Woolwich Arsenal can use their tickets on Southeastern replacement buses.

Engineering work is taking place between Dartford / Ebbsfleet International and Gillingham, closing all lines.

Southeastern:

Buses will replace trains between:

  • Ebbsfleet and Meopham (to connect with trains between London Victoria and Faversham / Ramsgate).
  • Ebbsfleet and Gravesend / Strood.
  • Dartford and Gillingham (calling all stations except Higham).
  • Dartford and Gravesend

High Speed services that usually run via Gravesend will not run between London St Pancras International and Ebbsfleet International, and also between Faversham and Ramsgate.

Services that usually run between London Charing Cross and Gravesend (via Sidcup) will run between London Charing Cross and Dartford only.

Thameslink:

Trains will not run between Dartford and Rainham. If you are travelling between these stations, you will need to use the replacement buses arranged by Southeastern to complete your journey.

Southeastern between London Victoria and Orpington / Canterbury East / Canterbury West / Dover Priory / Ramsgate Thameslink between London Blackfriars and Orpington / Sevenoaks

Engineering work is taking place between Beckenham Junction / Nunhead and St Mary Cray / Petts Wood, closing all lines.

Southeastern:

Buses replace trains between Beckenham Junction and Orpington.

Trains that usually run between London Victoria and Canterbury East / Canterbury West / Dover Priory / Ramsgate (via Sole Street and via Maidstone East) will be amended to run on an alternative route between London Victoria and Swanley / St Mary Cray, and will be retimed.

Thameslink:

Trains that usually run between London Blackfriars and Sevenoaks will be amended to run between Swanley and Sevenoaks only. Buses will run between Herne Hill and Swanley, calling at Denmark Hill then all stations via Catford.

Ticket acceptance:

Southeastern and Thameslink customers may use their tickets on any Southeastern or Thameslink service or replacement buses.

Amended Thameslink service between London St Pancras International and Bedford on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March

Engineering work is taking place from approximately 22:00 on Saturday and all day Sunday between London St Pancras and Bedford, closing some lines.

Saturday

From approximately 22:00:

A reduced service will run between London St Pancras International and Bedford.

No trains will operate between London Blackfriars and Sutton.

From approximately 23:45 until the close of service, buses will replace trains between Luton and Bedford. 

Sunday

Buses will replace trains between Luton and Bedford.

A reduced service will operate between London Blackfriars and Gatwick Airport.

Trains will be unable to call at Earlswood or Salfords. Replacement buses will operate between Redhill and Horley.

Engineering work is taking place between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace / West Croydon, closing some lines.

London Overground:

No London Overground trains will run between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace / West Croydon.

Southern:

Saturday:

Trains to / from London Bridge via Sydenham will not run. Replacement buses will run between New Cross Gate and West Croydon via Sydenham.

Trains between Uckfield and London Bridge will run between Uckfield and East Croydon only.

A reduced train service will operate between London Victoria and Sutton / Epsom Downs.

Trains between East Croydon and Milton Keynes Central will run between Clapham Junction and Milton Keynes Central only.

Trains between London Bridge and Caterham via Tulse Hill / Streatham will run half hourly, splitting at Purley, with a portion to / from Tattenham Corner.

Sunday:

Trains to / from London Bridge via Sydenham will not run. Replacement buses will run between New Cross Gate and West Croydon via Sydenham.

Trains which normally run between London Bridge and East Croydon via Tulse Hill will extend to run to / from Caterham, splitting at Purley, with a portion to / from Tattenham Corner.

Thameslink:

Trains will not run between London Bridge and East Croydon.

Trains between Bedford / Cambridge and Brighton will be diverted via an alternative route between London Blackfriars and Croydon, not calling at London Bridge.

Trains between Peterborough and Horsham will be amended to run as two separate services; one between Peterborough and London Kings Cross and one between London Blackfriars and Horsham.

If you are travelling to or from London Bridge, your ticket will be accepted on London Buses and London Underground services on any reasonable route.

  • Cambridge North: Lifts out of order

    The lifts will be out of order between platform 1 and the overbridge from now until further notice at Cambridge North station.
    Additional Information:
    This affects Great Northern services towards London Kings Cross. Please speak to station staff for further assistance.

  • East Croydon: From 26/03/2020 until further notice the Landowne Walk entrance/exit at East Croydo...

    From 26/03/2020 until further notice the Landowne Walk entrance/exit at East Croydon will be closed and the only entrance/exit to the station will be via the Main Entrance. The station footbridge will remain open for changing between platforms only.

  • London Blackfriars: Escalators out of order

    The escalators will be out of order between concourse and Northbound platforms from now until further notice at London Blackfriars station.
    Additional Information:
    This affects Thameslink services towards Cambridge and Peterborough. Please speak to station staff for further assistance.

  • Welwyn Garden City Facilities: Various changes

    At Welwyn Garden City station, the following issues have been reported:
    Step free access will be unavailable at the station between the shopping centre and the platforms every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 19:00 to 07:00 from 19:00 on 24/03/2020 until further notice.
    The ticket office will be closed every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 19:00 to 07:00 from now until further notice.
    The ticket vending machines are unavailable overnight between 19:00 and 07:00.
    Staff are in attendance.
    If you need step-free access to enter or leave Welwyn Garden City between 19:00 & 07:00 each night, the usual route via the shopping centre will be closed.
    If you are travelling to Welwyn Garden City, this means you'll need to go to Hatfield for a rail replacement taxi.
