Amended late night / early morning trains between Harpenden and Bedford from Monday 11 to Friday 15 November

Routes affected:
Thameslink between Brighton / Three Bridges / Sutton and Bedford

Engineering work is taking place between Harpenden and Bedford, closing some lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

As a result, trains from 23:00 until the end of service (early morning Tuesday to Friday), will be amended and retimed to run slightly earlier or later than usual.

Buses replace trains between Stevenage / Hitchin and Cambridge after 23:45 from Monday 11 to Friday 15 November

Great Northern between London Kings Cross and Cambridge Thameslink between Brighton / London Kings Cross and Royston / Cambridge

Engineering work is taking place between Hitchin and Cambridge from 23:45 on Monday to Thursday evening, closing all lines overnight.

From 23:45 (Monday to Thursday) until the end of service (early morning Tuesday to Friday), buses will replace trains between Stevenage / Hitchin and Cambridge.

Thameslink between Kentish Town and Rainham

Engineering work is taking place between Rochester and Gillingham, closing all lines after 23:30 from Monday evening until Friday morning.

From 23:30 each night, buses will replace Thameslink services between Dartford / Gravesend and Gillingham / Rainham. Please note that some of these services will run very early on Tuesday to Friday mornings.

4 Station updates

  • Gatwick Airport: Escalators out of order

    The escalators will be out of order between Platform 3 & 4 and the concourse from 06:00 on 14/09/2019 until 23:59 on 31/12/2019 at Gatwick Airport station.
    Additional Information:
    The escalators on platform 3&4 are being replaced and are expected to reopen in late December.
    Lifts are available for passengers with luggage, and there will be additional station staff on hand to provide assistance.
    Platforms 3&4 are used by Southern services towards Victoria, as well as Thameslink services towards Bedford and Horsham.

  • Luton Airport Parkway: Lifts out of order

    The lifts will be out of order between platform 2 and platform 3 from now until further notice at Luton Airport Parkway station.
    Additional Information:
    This affects services towards Bedford, Brighton, Littlehampton and East Grinstead. Please speak to station staff for further assistance.

  • St Pancras International Facilities: Various changes

    At St Pancras International station, the following issues have been reported:
    Step free access will be unavailable at the station between the gateline and platforms A & B from 15:38 on 10/11/2019 until further notice.
    The lifts will be out of order between the gateline and platforms A & B from 15:38 on 10/11/2019 until further notice.
    Additional Information:
    The main lift at St Pancras from the gateline to the mezzanine is out of order. This means that there is no step free access available between the gateline & either of the Thameslink platforms.
    Passengers can circulate via Farringdon station, where they can transfer step free to/from a London Underground service to/from Kings Cross St Pancras Underground station.

  • West Hampstead Thameslink: Lifts out of order

    The lifts will be out of order between platform 2 and platform 3 from now until further notice at West Hampstead Thameslink station.
    Additional Information:
    This affects services towards Bedford, Brighton, Littlehampton and East Grinstead. Please speak to station staff for further assistance.
