Engineering work for Today

Buses replace early morning trains between Stevenage and Alexandra Palace from Tuesday 16 to Friday 19 October

Routes affected:
Thameslink between Cambridge / Letchworth Garden City / Peterborough / Royston / Stevenage and London Kings Cross and also between Peterborough and Horsham Great Northern between Welwyn Garden City and London Kings Cross and also between Welwyn Garden City and Moorgate

Engineering work is taking place between Stevenage and Alexandra Palace from 00:05 to 05:30, and as a result, all lines will be closed.

The following changes will apply:

  • Some train services will be diverted between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Hertford North; and therefore, journey times will be extended
  • Train services scheduled to run between Welwyn Garden City and London Kings Cross / Moorgate will be amended to start from / terminate at Alexandra Palace
  • Rail replacement buses will run between Stevenage / Welwyn Garden City and Alexandra Palace

Buses replace overnight Thameslink trains between Haywards Heath and Brighton from Monday 15 to Thursday 18 October

Between Bedford and Brighton.

Each night between 23:30 and 05:00, finishing 05:00 Friday morning, engineering work is taking place between Haywards Heath and Brighton closing the line.

Buses will replace trains between Haywards Heath and Brighton.

    The lifts will be out of order between Platform 1 and Bridge from now until 07:00 on 02/12/2020 at Bedford station.
    Additional Information:
    Step free access from this station only available from platform 1

  • Harpenden: Lifts out of order

    The lifts will be out of order between platform 2,3 and exit/entry to the station from now until further notice at Harpenden station.

  • Welwyn Garden City: Lifts out of order

    The lifts will be out of order between Platform 3&4 and the overbridge from 08:50 on 13/10/2018 until further notice at Welwyn Garden City station.

  • Welwyn Garden City: Lifts out of order

    The lifts will be out of order between Platform 1 & 2 and the overbridge and exit from 20:09 on 13/10/2018 until further notice at Welwyn Garden City station.
