Routes affected:
Southeastern services via Slade Green Thameslink between Luton / West Hampstead Thameslink / Kentish Town and Gillingham / Rainham

Engineering work is taking place between Slade Green and Dartford, closing all lines.

Thameslink:

On Saturday, trains will run between Gravesend and Rainham only and on Sunday trains will run between Gravesend and Gillingham only.

On both days, customers can travel on Southeastern services between London and Slade Green, and also between Slade Green and Gravesend.

Southeastern:

Engineering work is taking place in the Dartford area, affecting services on routes via Woolwich, Bexleyheath and Sidcup.

Saturday:

Sidcup Line: Trains between London Cannon Street and Slade Green via Sidcup will be diverted between Lewisham and Slade Green to run via Bexleyheath instead. Trains between London Charing Cross and Dartford / Gravesend will not run. Additional trains will run between London Victoria and Crayford.

Bexleyheath Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Dartford via Bexleyheath will run between London Charing Cross and Slade Green via Bexleyheath instead. Trains between London Victoria and Dartford / Gravesend will be diverted to run between London Victoria and Crayford via Sidcup.

Woolwich Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Dartford via Woolwich will only run between London Charing Cross and Slade Green. Trains between London Cannon Street and Slade Green via Woolwich will only run half-hourly.

Replacement buses will run on the following routes:

  • Crayford - Dartford
  • Slade Green to Gravesend

Sunday:

Sidcup Line: Trains between London Cannon Street and Slade Green via Sidcup will be diverted between Lewisham and Slade Green to run via Bexleyheath instead. Trains between London Charing Cross and Dartford / Gravesend will not run. Additional trains will run between London Victoria and Sidcup.

Bexleyheath Line: Trains between London Victoria and Dartford will be diverted to run between London Victoria and Crayford via Sidcup. Additional services will run between London Cannon Street and Slade Green via Bexleyheath.

Woolwich Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Dartford via Woolwich will not run.

Replacement buses will run on the following routes:

  • Sidcup - Dartford
  • Slade Green to Gravesend

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the DLR between Lewisham and Greenwich.

Engineering work, part of the East Coast Upgrade, is continuing at London Kings Cross until Sunday 6 June.

Major closures of London Kings Cross station will take place during this period:


On all other dates, engineering work will be taking place that may affect your journey. Please check before you travel.

A summary of the work can be found below, with more specific details being provided from each train operating company:

Daily until Thursday 22 April:

A temporary reduced timetable will operate to / from London Kings Cross. 

Weekends:

LNER will run a reduced timetable to / from London Kings Cross, with trains diverting and extending journey times by up to 15 minutes. Trains departing London Kings Cross will start earlier than usual. Trains between London Kings Cross and Leeds will run hourly. Other LNER services will be amended to start at / terminate at Peterborough instead of London Kings Cross.

No LNER trains will run to and from Lincoln on Sundays.

Monday to Friday:

Grand Central will be running a reduced timetable.

From 12 April Hull Trains will run an amended and reduced timetable. Hull Trains services before 12 April are suspended because of Covid-19.

LNER will running three trains per hour to / from London Kings Cross, with other services running to / from Peterborough instead of London Kings Cross, or cancelled throughout.

Friday 23 April:

No trains will run to or from London Kings Cross.

Saturday 24 to Sunday 25 April:

No trains will run to or from London Kings Cross, Moorgate or London St Pancras International via Finsbury Park.

Monday 26 April to Thursday 3 June:

A temporary reduced timetable will operate to and from London Kings Cross. 

Friday 4 June:

No trains will run to / from London Kings Cross or London St Pancras International via Finsbury Park from the early afternoon.

Engineering work is also taking place just north of Peterborough. Many customers will need to use a rail replacement bus for part of their journey. 

Saturday 5 to Sunday 6 June:

No trains will run to / from London Kings Cross or London St Pancras International via Finsbury Park.

No trains will run between Grantham and Peterborough, due to the work taking place north of Peterborough. Rail replacement buses may be required for part of your journey.

  • London Blackfriars: Lifts out of order

    The lifts will be out of order between South side ticket hall / mezzanine and South side Platform 2 and 3 from now until further notice at London Blackfriars station.
    Additional Information:
    This affects Thameslink services towards Bedford, Peterbrough, Cambridge and Sevenoaks. Please speak to station staff for further assistance.

  • Sevenoaks: Lifts out of order

    The lifts will be out of order between platforms 3 & 4 and the overbridge from now until further notice at Sevenoaks station.
    Additional Information:
    This affects Thameslink and Southeastern services towards Blackfriars and Hastings. Please speak to station staff for further assistance.
