Luton staff travel scheme

The online discounted travel scheme is for staff who are based at London Luton Airport.

The scheme lets you buy a season ticket between your home* Thameslink and selected East Midlands Train stations and Luton Airport Parkway at a massive discount of 50% off the normal fare. 

The season ticket is valid on Thameslink, Southern and East Midlands Trains only.

How can I buy tickets?

  • At any Thameslink, Great Northern or East Midlands Trains rail station where weekly, monthly and annual tickets are available to purchase with the 50% discount.
  • You can buy your tickets online. You'll be able to buy tickets valid from between one month and a year.

What information will I need to have?

To buy these tickets, you’ll need the following from the London Luton Airport security office:

  • London Luton Airport Staff ID card
  • London Luton Airport Staff Discount Card
  • PIN code for online purchases (this can only be used once)

If booking online, you'll need to enter your email address and PIN code when asked. The code will automatically trigger the discount, which will be shown during the booking process by an asterisk in the ticket selection page.

What tickets can I buy?

  • Annual season tickets (Gold Cards are not available)
  • Monthly season tickets
  • Create your own period tickets from one month to one year
  • Weekly season tickets (ticket offices only)

* Home stations can be any Thameslink or East Midlands Trains served stations between, and including, Leicester to the north and Brighton to the south (including Thameslink served stations on the Wimbledon Loop).

Travelcards and First Class travel are not covered by this scheme.
