Find out about parking at Thameslink stations including prices and how to book and pay for a parking space.

Car parks at Thameslink stations

Car parks at our stations are operated by APCOA. The Thameslink parking website has information on individual car parks.

You can use the site to buy parking permits for any station car park on our network. You can also register for cashless payment by mobile, meaning you can pay by text message and receive VAT receipts by email.

Car park tariffs

Parking is usually cheaper at weekends, bank holidays and outside the rush hour during the week.

If you regularly commute from the same station you can save money by booking your parking in advance.

Blue Badge holders can park for free in any of our car parks, and can use any bay except for 20-minute drop-off bays, loading bays, staff bays, and premier bays.

How do I pay for parking?

How to pay for parking

Parking can be paid for by downloading the APCOA Connect App or by calling 0189 526 2122 from your mobile phone when you park.

If you are calling and using the APCOA Connect service for the first time, please call 0189 526 2122.

  • When you call you will need to provide the length of your stay and your payment details
  • You will then be sent a text, please reply to this text with your vehicle's registration number
  • You will then receive a text confirming that your parking is paid

If you are a returning user and have previously registered for connect services in our car parks you can call 0189 526 2122, who will recognise your registered mobile number and offer you the same parking detail previously used, you can change the details if required.

If you have previously registered, you can simply text park followed by your payment card's 3-digit security code and the SMS code for the parking that you require to 078 6000 6000. For further details please visit the APCOA Connect support page.

Park and Go at Bedford

Park and Go

At Bedford station you can park, board the train and pay later with Park and Go using the kiosk at the station or your mobile phone.

Pay using the station kiosk

Enter your details into the Pay and Go kiosk when you arrive and pay with a card or cash before you leave again.

Pay online

Register for an online account and you can pay for parking with your mobile phone. Your details will be stored for next time so it’s even quicker to pay.

Where to find Charge and Go points at Thameslink stations

Charge and Go points for electric cars are available at Luton, Luton Airport Parkway and St Albans stations. You can find them at:

  • Luton - first floor of the multi-storey car park
  • Luton Airport Parkway - ground floor of the multi-storey car park
  • St Albans - Ridgmont Road car park

The Charge and Go service is free, so just plug in your vehicle in at one of the bays to charge while you’re parked.
