Understandably, many people wish to pay their respects to Her Majesty the Queen during this period of national mourning and attend ceremonial and commemorative events. If you do wish to travel to London up to and including the day of the funeral, Monday 19 September, please be aware that:
- Services and stations are expected to be extremely busy
- Queuing systems will be in place in some locations
- You may not be able to board your chosen service, particularly when traveling home, so ensure you leave enough time

I no longer want to travel during this period; can I get a refund?
Anytime, Off-Peak and Super Off-Peak tickets bought up to and including 8 September with a travel date of up to and including 19 September can be refunded. Please visit our refunds page.
- If you bought your tickets from us, we’re waiving the £10 admin fee
- If you bought your ticket from another retailer, please contact them for your options regarding refunding the ticket

Now that 19 September is a Bank Holiday, what does this mean for me in terms of my ticket terms and conditions?
Monday 19 September has now been confirmed as a Bank Holiday, which means there will be no time restrictions on the use of Off-Peak or Super Off- Peak tickets.
Our trains will be running a normal Monday service and Journey planners have been updated for you to check your journey.
Ticket restrictions, First Class and Cycle policies will continue to apply on the other days during the mourning period.
