Revised timetable in place until further notice

As of 6 July train services continue to operate to an amended timetable. Additional capacity has been introduced on selected routes to assist with social distancing measures.

What services are not operating?

The timetable has been designed to be as resilient as possible at a time when our staff are impacted by coronavirus, and to support the platform upgrades underway at Gatwick Airport and Stevenage railway station. Please note:

  • No Gatwick Express trains will operate, please use Southern and Thameslink services between London and Gatwick Airport which operate up to 16 times per hour
  • Buses will replace trains between Watton-at-Stone and Stevenage on Monday to Saturday as Network Rail completes a major upgrade to Stevenage station
  • Southern services will not operate to/from Guildford, please use South Western Railway services

What changes will I see from the 6th July?

Increase in peak time services on the following routes:

  • Welwyn Garden City / Hertford North to Moorgate
  • Fast services Peterborough to London King’s Cross
  • Baldock to London King’s Cross
  • Cambridge to Ely / King’s Lynn
  • Additional station stops at Letchworth and Royston as part of the Cambridge flyer fast services.

Increase in peak time services on the following routes:

  • Sutton to London Victoria via Selhurst
  • London Bridge to Crystal Palace via Sydenham
  • Clapham Junction to Milton Keynes
  • London Victoria to Eastbourne via Lewes
  • London Victoria to Epsom
  • London Bridge to Eastbourne via Lewes
  • London Bridge to Chichester via Horsham
  • Gatwick Airport, Horley, Salfords and Earlswood to London Victoria via Redhill

Some new services to/from London Bridge and Eastbourne via Lewes / Chichester via Horsham will be served by red Gatwick Express branded trains, to enable Southern services to be made longer elsewhere on the network. Do check before you board as these may not stop at Gatwick Airport

Longer trains in peak hours on the following routes:

  • Redhill to London Victoria
  • The Sussex Coast (Eastbourne via Lewes and Littlehampton via Hove) to London Victoria

Increase in peak time services on the following routes:

  • Fast services from Bedford (via Luton and St Albans) to London St Pancras
  • East Grinstead to Bedford
  • Littlehampton to Bedford
  • Orpington to Luton / Kentish Town
