Accessibility

We’re making things easier for our customers with accessibility needs through improvements at our stations and on board our trains.

What we’re doing

When making plans to modernise our services and facilities, we want to make sure we fully consider the needs of passengers with disabilities. So we’ve been working with the accessibility experts at passenger groups London TravelWatch and Transport Focus. 

With their input – plus feedback from our passengers – we’ve planned a number of accessibility improvements:

  • Making sure passengers can find help easily by making staff more visible on board trains and in stations
  • Providing staff with sufficient training in tools such as ramps 
  • Installing induction loops in appropriate areas at our stations
  • Keeping waiting rooms, toilets and lifts open for longer at our busier stations
