Thameslink services on the Catford loop

Since 21 December 2014, Thameslink has been operating services along the entire route between Sevenoaks/Orpington and Kentish Town, St Albans and Bedford – previously Southeastern were in charge south of London Blackfriars.

Trains run to the same timetable and you now have just one operator to deal with which should make life easier.

Thameslink has also taken over the management of seven stations at Denmark Hill, Nunhead, Crofton Park, Catford, Bellingham, Beckenham Hill and Ravensbourne which are predominately served by Thameslink trains.

These are the same staff but they have new uniforms and better information as they deal direct with our control and have sight of the entire network and full journey.

Something to look forward to

We’re bringing you new trains in 2016. They’ll be air conditioned and spacious with a walk-through design, full facilities for the disabled and the latest in passenger information systems. The trains promise greater reliability and are fixed in length at eight carriages so there will be no more four carriage services.

And at Nunhead we have extended the hours we staff the station, so that we have someone there from the first to last service. We have also installed free passenger wi-fi at Catford, Denmark Hill and Nunhead stations.

We’re easy to talk to

Thameslink is run by Govia Thameslink Railway. You can find out more about the company and our plans to improve your services in our customer report Connections, available to view here.
