What is PlusBus?

PLUSBUS is a bus pass that you buy with your train ticket at any station ticket office or online. It gives you unlimited bus and tram travel (on participating operators’ services) to and from the rail station and around the whole urban area of the rail served town. Buy one for the start of your journey and/or for the end of it. PLUSBUS is available for 290 rail-served towns and cities across Britain.
For each town there is one travel zone that covers the whole urban area. With a PLUSBUS ticket you can travel as much as you like by bus within this urban travel zone.

PLUSBUS can be added to most types of train ticket:

  • single,
  • day return
  • period return
  • season ticket (for set periods, to match the most popular train season ticket: 7-days, 1-month, 3-months, a year)

PLUSBUS ticket prices start from £2 a day. Save 1/3 off the price of PLUSBUS day tickets with a national Railcard. Children (aged 5-15) pay half the adult PLUSBUS day ticket price.
