What are you looking for? Try this!
Want to be flexible with your time? ...then pick an Anytime ticket for great flexibility, allowing you to travel any time of the day peak or off-peak. Even better, you can get on and off at any station along your route.
Commuting for work? ...grab a Season ticket, of course. Available as weekly, monthly or annual tickets it’s a great way for regular travellers to SAVE. Also check out all the benefits you can get from a GoldCard, including discounts for leisure travel for you and family, and more!
Looking for more space to work or just relax? ...choose a First Class ticket and travel in style. Available on selected services, check details before you travel.
Looking for the best ticket for train AND tube travel? ...then a Travelcard is for you. Available from any station into London, the Travelcard is valid in London Zones 1-6 on trains, buses, tube, trams and most DLR trains.
Travelling into London often? ...then grab a Carnet booklet and enjoy a 10% saving on a book of 5 or 10 single journey tickets. Don’t forget that carnet tickets are one-way so you’ll need a separate book for your return journey. Your booklet of tickets is valid for 3 months. See the list of stations you can use them at.
No time to visit a ticket office? ...sign up to the key smartcard, the more reliable and secure way to commute! Simply touch in and out of station ticket barriers just like an Oyster card. It’s easy to add your weekly, monthly or annual season ticket.
Are you travelling to school or college north of London? ...If your school or college is in the Great Northern area (north of Essex Road) or on the Thameslink route (north of Kentish Town) you can save at least 34% on your season ticket with a Student Connect Card.

Leisure travel

What are you looking for? Try this!
Want to avoid rush hour? ...then get an Off-Peak ticket! SAVE ££s when you travel outside the morning or evening peaks. Up to 4 kids can travel with you for just £2 each!
Travelling on a weekend or Bank Holiday? ...a Super Off-Peak ticket is all you need. No need to worry about peak times, just make sure you return the same day of travel! Add your Railcard or a GroupSave discount for even more savings. And up to 4 kids travel with you for only £2 each.
Travelling with children? ...Up to 4 kids (aged 5 – 15) travel for just £2 when accompanied by an adult travelling on Off-Peak and Super Off-Peak tickets and all weekend!

Travelling to London Luton Airport? Choose the right ticket for your journey

  • The "Luton Airport" ticket includes a shuttle bus to transport you to the airport from Parkway station
  • The "Luton Airport Park Way" ticket terminates at Luton Airport Parkway station. You will need to purchase an additional ticket for the shuttle bus* for £2 one way if you select this option

*On arrival at Parkway station, follow th eshuttle bus indicators down the escalater to the shuttle bus stop. The shuttle bus departs every 10 minutes and will whisk you to the airport in 6 minutes.

What is the difference between Return and Day Return for Anytime and Off-Peak tickets?
A Return ticket will allow you to return any time within a month, and a Day Return should be used on the day of travel.

What do you mean by London Terminals?
Tickets issued for travel to/from London usually show 'London Terminals' as the destination/origin rather than naming a specific station.

  • If you are travelling from South of London (eg Brighton), the following stations are classed as London Terminals: Victoria, Waterloo, London Bridge, Blackfriars and City Thameslink or Charing Cross, Waterloo or Cannon Street 
  • If you are Travelling from the North of London, you can get off at Kings Cross, St Pancras, Old Street, and Moorgate

What do you mean by London Thameslink?
Tickets issued for travel to/from London may show 'London Thameslink' as the destination/origin rather than naming a specific station.

The following stations are classed as LondonThameslink: St Pancras International, Farringdon, City Thameslink, Blackfriars, London Bridge, and Elephant & Castle.

What do you mean by Off Peak?
If you are flexible about your journey times you can save ££’s by travelling “off-peak”. The trains tend to be less crowded at these times. A good rule of thumb is to avoid travelling between first service – 10am and 16:30-19:00 where possible. Use our app or National Rail enquiries to double check if your journey is during peak times.
