Sport and outdoors - Brighton
Brighton’s gorgeous pebbled beach is one of its main attractions. It’s perfect for sunbathing on a hot summer’s day with the ocean at your feet.
If it’s a bit chilly to swim, stroll along the promenade stopping off at one of the many beachfront restaurants, bars and cafés. Or hire a bike to cycle the length of the beach in the promenade’s excellent bicycle lane.
If you’re staying for the evening, why not have a barbecue on the beach? As night falls, head over to the Victorian beachfront arches where you’ll find the best clubs in Brighton.

Try out a new sport on the beach by hiring a court or pitch. They have lots of courts, pitches and equipment on the sand including football, volleyball, tennis and ultimate frisbee.
After a game, children will love a go on the play area and parents can watch from the café nearby. Or bring your friends and have a barbecue on the beach after at one of their barbeque spots.

Float on the open waters of the English Channel and rent a kayak for an hour or two. All the kayaks and safety kit are for rent from Brighton Watersports, along with full supervision for beginners, so why not?
If you’re feeling adventurous try your hand at waterboarding or water-skiing. For lots of laughs take some friends on the inflatable ringos but be prepared to get wet.
