Priority card

Priority cardHelping people who need a seat

If you find it difficult to stand, we have lots of priority seats on all of our trains. Anyone can use them but they should be given up if someone with a disability, expectant mothers, elderly passengers or those carrying infants need to sit down.

You don’t need a card to ask for the seat but we understand it can be embarrassing to explain to fellow passengers why you need their seat on a busy train.

The Priority Card lets you discreetly show that you need the seat. Equally if you’re asked to give up your seat by someone with the card, it’s clear that they need it.

You can use the card on any of our Great Northern and Thameslink services.
